Project ‘Help Us Harvest’ is in celebration of Harvest Festival, traditionally held on the beginning of Autumn equinox. In the past, school children were given time off school to help their local farm by harvesting crops, then families and friends would celebrate together with a feast using the food grown on their land.
In more recent years, the festival has become about sharing with those less fortunate than ourselves or raising money for charity.
