Duties Include: -

  • Carry out initial and diagnostic assessments including Functional Skills
  • Deliver induction/training
  • Meet external standards for any course delivery
  • Ensure all documentation meets funding body standards and compliance
  • Assess and sign off candidate portfolios
  • Provide Information, Advice and Guidance to allow candidates to progress

  • Assessing qualification
  • A minimum of a level 3 qualification in subject area
  • Teaching qualification
  • Functional Skills qualifications
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Report writing skills
  • Proven industry experience of working in residential childcare
  • A passion for teaching

  • Ability to work autonomously and manage own diary

  • Knowledge of Internal Quality Assurance processes

Other Information: -

  • Salary = Circa £22,495 for a full caseload
  • Hours = 37.5 Per week for a full caseload
  • Caseload = A full caseload would be up to 37 apprenticeships.
  • Mileage = 40p per mile
  • Location = Newcastle area (with regular travel to head office in Peterlee)

  • Location = Peterlee Head Office with occasional travel to different commercial sites when required.

This Sales Executive position is a home-based role across the country with daily reporting to your line manager. The focus will be primarily on Apprentice provision, however, an understanding of other funding streams would be an advantage.

Main Functions of Business Development Executive:

  • Prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients within a geographical area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Source and recruit learners to fill any vacancies obtained.
  • Make outbound calls to employers in order to promote our products and services.
  • Maintain up to date accurate recording of all calls and conversations by updating and managing our CRM.
  • Answer incoming customer calls as required and deal with customer queries. Qualify all calls in the appropriate manner through questioning and transferring calls to the relevant person.

Duties:

  • Represent and promote the Group at external events and meetings.
  • Liaise with colleagues as appropriate to ensure services are delivered according to service levels agreed with clients.
  • Liaise with colleagues as appropriate to ensure the development of new products and services.
  • Maintain and increase skills and knowledge relevant to role through training and CPD activity.
  • Attend and contribute to whole Group, department or other meetings as required.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the annual Self-Assessment Report (SAR), Quality improvement and annual planning arrangements.
  • Attend training and development opportunities as agreed.
  • Comply with and implement relevant health, safety, security and welfare processes as required by statutory or group procedures.
  • Perform any other duties appropriate to grade as may reasonably be required or delegated by senior colleagues from time to time.

General:

The particular duties and responsibilities attached to the Sales Executive may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the duties or the level of responsibility entailed. All Group employees are required to undertake the following general duties:

Essential Qualifications/Skills

  • GCSE English and Maths Grade C+
  • A level or equivalent preferable

  • Experience of working towards targets
  • Sales experience

Duties

  • Make outbound calls to employers in order to promote our products and services.
  • Generate and follow up on leads and prospects to make appointments for the Business Development Team.
  • Manage the diaries of the Business Development Team to maximise diary appointments.
  • Build rapport and professional relationships with new and existing customers.
